PRS/ Hopkins Charity Guitar - finished piece
PRS Guitar, mild steel, stainless steel
This is the completed guitar I was invited to embellish for the Auction to benefit Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. Please check out this link for details on this great charity.
This series of photos show a little bit of the base fabrication and the finished piece. I had an old PRS body from previous projects, so I made an armature to hold it at the height I wanted , then proceeded with the base construction. The guitar pics are 1/8” stainless, I made a jig to cut them out with my plasma cutter. The base is gun blued and lacquered. After these photos the guitar was returned to PRS to have all the hardware reinstalled so that it is fully functioning.
